Chimney Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. All through the warm months here at Chimney Pond, high temperatures usually get into the 70's; the night is slightly chillier of course, generally in the 50's. Inn Auburn is a nice location to spend a night or two; a tour to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is worthwhile. Don't leave Chimney Pond without first going for a hike along the Munyan Trail. All
the water falling down from the sky makes Chimney Pond a wet location; during the month of May you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you want to play some golf, you're
in luck because Pakachoag Golf Course is in close proximity; you don’t have to go far from Chimney Pond to spot the water at Chimney Pond Dam. Swamps are exciting sites and Cedar Swamp near Chimney Pond is no exception, and there
are plenty of folks from Worcester here at Chimney Pond. That right there is plenty already, but it continues; Chimney Pond has it all. There's good hiking along the Border Trail; wonderful skiing awaits you at Pine Ridge. This
lake is so wonderful. Get drenched paddling on Quinebaug River, and the Ross Trail offers hiking at its best. Paddling on Clear and Branch is so much fun, and Chimney Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Wood Lot Campground is a pleasant local campground.
