Why not camp at Clarksburg State Park while you're here at Chilson Pond, and Moores Summit is nearby, and is a pleasant location. duration of the summertime at Chilson Pond highs are mostly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Chilson Pond.
This lake is so
wonderful. There is a good hiking trail close to Chilson Pond called the Busby Trail, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Berkshire East while you're here. If you came for an overnight stay Shady Pines Campground
is a good site to camp, and a golf course nearby is Stamford Valley Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Near Chilson Pond you discover the Dunbar Brook Trail which is a good hiking trail, and if you come at the right time of year,
Dunbar Brook offers some good whitewater.
Going for a hike on the Old Stage Trail is always a tremendous adventure; Granger Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at. So many amusing things to do here at Chilson Pond, too nice to be true. There are plenty of folks from Bennington here at Chilson Pond.
