Forest Lake
Firstly, Forest Lake does not offer any camping whatsoever, public or private. There is a Jewish retreat camp within 1/2 mile of Forest Lake, however that is not open to the public and is not on Forest Lake itself. Camp Ramah is on Pattaquattic Pond. In neighboring Monson, MA, there is a camp, but that is about 10 miles from the only access point offered to the public on Forest Lake, and is also not connected to Forest Lake in any way. Forest Lake in Palmer, MA, only has about 100 ft. of publicly accessible shore, probably about fifty of which is a swimmer's beach. Fishing is allowed. You can launch boats, but there is a 10 mph and 10 hp limit for motoring. Currently, the restaurant and bar across the street, ''Doyle's'', previously ''Lakeview Lounge'' is closed. Palmer is a lovely, quiet town off of the interstate with few accomodations for those looking to stay overnight, nevermind camp. Campers should look elsewhere and day-trip to Palmer if they want to try their luck at this small-town community beach....

Quinebaug Cove Campground

WE are located on the beautiful East Brimfield Reservoir where there is a five mile canoe trail. WE offer some of the best fishing, hiking and camping in the area. Need more reasons? Sturbridge Village, Six Flags, Worcester Art Museums. We offer something in the area for everyone. And don't forget the Brimfield Flea Market in May, July and September!! One of the biggest outdoor flea markets!! WE are considered to be in the foothills of the beautiful Berkshires where hiking/walking abound. The Berkshires house many craft shops, Jacob's Pillow and some great restaurants.

Those are just a few of our attractions. Centally located to the Worcester and Springfield areas and not all that far from Boston. See the Sox!

Our Campgound has an olympic size pool, small store and the friendliest staff! Our manager, Lou, is available to help your stay become more memorable. With a good knowledge of our area and attractions he can assist you in your camping experience.

Come for a visit and come again!

... Just 2 hrs from Boston, or 3 hours from NYC, in the quiet corner - not far from MA or RI, is a gorgeous green getaway.  One of the oldest campgrounds in the area, it has been updated from under the ground - with new water, electric and cable, on up - with a new pavilion, refurbished camp store, laundry, free WIFI, and more.  It is family and pet friendly.  Folks love to fish in the Trophy Trout state stocked stream.  Tubing is great fun, whether within the campground, or going further downstream.  Kayaking and canoeing are other activities, if the water level is high enough - or it can by enjoyed at Hall's Pond nearby.

Located directly across from the Natchaug state forest, there is lots of wildlife and birds to enjoy, as well as the hiking trails.  The campers enjoy lively, fun BINGO on Sat. nights, the occasional potluck or community campfire.  The last Saturday in July, we hold our annual Camper Appreciation Picnic with lots of food and fun.  Holiday weekends always include a DJ/Karaoke, Kid's games, Horseshoe tournament, BINGO and other special activities.  The Chili C...
