In Massachusetts there are many beautiful lakes, Cheshire Reservoir is one of them. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the vicinity of Cheshire Reservoir. If you're here at Cheshire Reservoir, you could stop by Collins Brook, and if you're a golfer then a fine close by course is Wahconah Country Club. Cheshire Reservoir gets a typical amount of precipitation; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February on the other
hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. The summit of The Cobbles can be made out from Cheshire Reservoir; if you need a spot to stay Pittsfield Travelodge is a glorious choice.
Throughout the summer at Cheshire Reservoir highs are mostly in the 70's, and the night is fairly colder of course, regularly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Cheshire Reservoir temperatures descend

to the 10's. Vacation Village At Berkshires is a splendid site to get some rest, and the Cheshire Harbor Trail is a good hiking trail close by. This lake is so wonderful. People from Pittsfield love to come to Cheshire Reservoir; while you're here, you could also stop at charming Gore Pond.
There's always Cheshire Reservoir Dam to stop by close to Cheshire Reservoir, and Cold River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Green River, and going for a hike on the Deer Hill Trail is always a good adventure. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Why not camp at Bonnie Brae Cabins and Campsites since you're here at Cheshire Reservoir, and nearby you discover the Circle Trail which is a fine hiking trail.
Camping is available at Hidden Valley Campgrounds, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Jiminy Peak while you're here. Anthony Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to, and what would winter be without some skiing at Mount Greylock Ski Club.

Jiminy Peak

...New England offering 45 trails and 3 terrain parks on 1,150 feet of vertical rise. Located in Hancock, MA, Jiminy Peak is capable of making snow on 93% of its terrain, and lighting 20 of its trails allowing for night skiing until 10pm. It is the home of the Berkshire Express, the region's only 6 passenger high-speed chairlift, which brings you to the summit in less than 5 minutes! The mountain is also served by 2 quads, 3 triples, a double, and two magic carpets.

In 2007, Jiminy Peak became the first ski resort to construct its own wind turbine on property, for the purpose of powering its operations. Named Zephyr, the turbine stands 386 feet tall, and produces about a third of the total energy requirements of the resort.

Jiminy Peak's Base Area includes a beautiful Village Center that addresses all of your needs. As you arrive and unload in the drop off area, you first notice the Paul Major welcome center. Inside you'll find the Guest Services desk, as well as a Renewable Energy Education Center. Across the way, the conveniently located Burbank Children's Center is home...

Walker Island Camping
18 miles away
The staff at Walker Island was very friendly. There were many faucets located near campsites, and an outhouse, and an outlet in some sites. Our sites were located by the brook which on the other side is a busy road that large trucks occasionally rumble by. The pool was 5ft deep, compared to the 'small beach' which is literally a pile of sand plopped by the brook. No swimming in this beach. The arrow pointing to the spring is really a spring hung on a tree. Not so funny when your vacation hopes were to swim in some natural waters. Hiking may be difficult to find ask for directions....
