You're almost certainly hooked on lakes, Hales Pond is one of those nearby; Blue Hills is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood. This is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Don't forget to take a magnificent little tour to Trout       Brook. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Channings Pond has to offer, you can camp at Pine Hollow Camping. Channings Pond is a wet site that gets much precipitation; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily November, that's the one that rains the most, and June is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. People from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy love to come to Channings Pond, and you get a great vista of Castle Hill from here. If time allows,                  Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is a national park worth checking out, and Boston Marriott Newton is a delightful spot to get some rest. A delightful close by hotel is Hotel Indigo BOSTON-NEWTON RIVERSIDE, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Wellesley Country Club Athltc Activities is in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are nice; Lymans Pond is a lake that's next to Channings Pond, and glide down the rapids of Charles River in a kayak. Throughout the summer months at Channings Pond temperatures are typically in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 60's.
