Carter Pond frequently gets a large amount of rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; February on the other hand is the driest. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Carter Pond has to offer, you can camp at Lamb City Campground, and Carter Hill is a peak you can make out from Carter Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water? Try Silver Brook; a wonderful nearby       hotel is Windsor Hotel. If you get bored of Carter Pond, you could also stop at close by Connor Pond, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Pine Ridge while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Quaboag River near Carter Pond. There's so much to do here at Carter Pond that you need to camp here for a while, High View Campgrounds is a tremendous place for that. Carter Pond Dam is not far at all from Carter                  Pond, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Quail Hollow Golf & Country Club. Through the summertime at Carter Pond highs are typically in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's.
