Pine Acres Family Camping Resort
11 miles away Great place, everything you need for a fun time. We camped in tents, electricity and water at sights that were roomy enough for tent and screen house. Canoe rentals, rod rental and bait, beach and a pool, good hiking trails ( with wild bluberries and blackberries). Most important clean bathrooms nothing worse than a camp ground with crappy facilities (forgive the pun)..Ben a couple of times great place!!...
Pout and Trout Family Campground
14 miles away They have a swimming pool, game room, kid's playground. There are always people ready for a game of horseshoes. They have a pavillion for bingo games, DJ's and dancing. The rates are reasonable for seasonal and weekender sites, only minutes from Worcester....
Forest Lake
14 miles away Firstly, Forest Lake does not offer any camping whatsoever, public or private. There is a Jewish retreat camp within 1/2 mile of Forest Lake, however that is not open to the public and is not on Forest Lake itself. Camp Ramah is on Pattaquattic Pond. In neighboring Monson, MA, there is a camp, but that is about 10 miles from the only access point offered to the public on Forest Lake, and is also not connected to Forest Lake in any way. Forest Lake in Palmer, MA, only has about 100 ft. of publicly accessible shore, probably about fifty of which is a swimmer's beach. Fishing is allowed. You can launch boats, but there is a 10 mph and 10 hp limit for motoring. Currently, the restaurant and bar across the street, ''Doyle's'', previously ''Lakeview Lounge'' is closed. Palmer is a lovely, quiet town off of the interstate with few accomodations for those looking to stay overnight, nevermind camp. Campers should look elsewhere and day-trip to Palmer if they want to try their luck at this small-town community beach....
Wrights Reservoir
15 miles away This Lake with little public access. Forget about using a motor boat. A canoe/kayak maybe. Fishing may be ok, but don't keep/eat what you catch. MA has serious mercury warnings posted....
