You can run the rapids of Assabet River close to Carpenter Reservoir; you should take a look at Meadow Pond when you're here. Carpenter Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day at, Kings Campground is a good local campground, and you could always explore Purgatory Chasm. If you need a location to stay Econo Lodge Sutton is a wonderful choice,       and hey, Cook Allen Brook is a good local stream. All the water falling down from the sky makes Carpenter Reservoir a wet place; the month with most of the rain is November while February is usually the driest month. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff at Carpenter Reservoir. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Wachusett Mountain. There's so much to do here at Carpenter Reservoir that you need                  to camp here for a while, Winding Brook Camping Area is a great spot for that. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Carpenter Reservoir, and the overnight is slightly colder of course, commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Carpenter Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Carpenter Reservoir Dam has pleasant water scenery and it's close to Carpenter Reservoir; on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Walkabout Trail. Sutton State Forest is a splendid local forest; Days Inn Shrewsbury - Worcester is a glorious place to get some rest. A lovely lake like Swans Pond near Carpenter Reservoir is a good location to take a look at, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Munyan Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Carpenter Reservoir. For you golfers we recommend nearby Edgewood Golf Course, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Ross Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
