While you're here at Buttrick Pond you will meet lots of folks from nearby Boston-Cambridge-Quincy, and you don’t have to go far from Buttrick Pond to catch a glimpse of the water at Batemans Pond Dam. This lake is so wonderful. No need to travel far to stop by attention-grabbing stuff like Farmers Cliff; Buttrick Pond is pleasant       enough to spend more than a day at, CDM is a pleasant local campground. An afternoon playing golf at Butter Brook Golf Club is always a joy; if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Concord River. Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area is a magnificent place in the neighborhood of Buttrick Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Batemans Pond Swamp is right close by, and if you've                  had enough of Buttrick Pond, Hutchins Pond is nearby. A wonderful nearby hotel is Concord s Colonial Inn, naturally you could also go to Batemans Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. Summertime at Buttrick Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Buttrick Pond are in the 0's. Now, you may believe that's a load but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Buttrick Pond. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Assabet River, and if you came to camp Star Camps is a pleasant spot to do that.
