The beauty of Burrs Pond is reason enough to stop by. The wonderful folks of Providence-New Bedford-Fall River like to hang out nearby, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Yawgoo Valley. A trip to Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is recommended; playing golf is lots of fun at Firefly Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful.

Summertime highs at Burrs Pond usually tend to be in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 10's for Burrs Pond. Johnson And Wales Inn is a splendid place to get some rest, and Koa Campground Boston Hub is a pleasant campground here.

Grist Mill Pond is a splendid lake next to Burrs Pond, and Burrs Pond is a delightful spot to camp, Normandy Farms Family Camping Resort is a delightful spot. Hit the beach if you want, Barrington Beach is practically right here,
and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at James V Turner Reservoir Dam. Burrs Pond typically gets a good deal of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is November while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
