Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Stiles Reservoir, and the peak of Ballard Hill can be observed from Burncoat Pond. Camping is available at Wood Lot Campground, and the Border Trail is a brilliant hiking trail nearby. and there are swamps here too, Alder Meadow is nearby. This is a glorious region for people who like lakes. Cedar Meadow Pond is a lake around here, and dry warm beds await you at Fairfield Inn & Suites Worcester Auburn. This lake
is so wonderful. You can take a little tour to Burncoat Pond Dam since you're here at Burncoat Pond, and if you have time, Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a national park worth stopping at. All
the water falling down from the sky makes Burncoat Pond a wet location; the month with most of the rain is May, and February on the other hand is the driest. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the vicinity of Burncoat
Pond. Why not camp at The Woodlot Campground while you're here at Burncoat Pond, and close by you discover the Walkabout Trail which is a perfect hiking trail.
