Burncoat Pond is right by the Walkabout Trail, and during your journey here you'll meet some people from Worcester for sure. Hampton Inn Auburn is a good site to get some rest, and on a beautiful day you obtain a tremendous panorama of Ballard Hill from Burncoat Pond. Burncoat Pond is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Wood Lot Campground is a splendid local campground, and let's not forget Burncoat Brook which is       a stream that you may come across while here. A lot of rain falls at Burncoat Pond; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February. And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable stuff just keep reading. Not far from Burncoat Pond you get some brilliant water scenery at Burncoat Pond Dam; swamps like Alder Meadow are fun to visit. A day on the slopes of Wachusett Mountain is just what you need, and a trip to Quinebaug                  & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Burncoat Pond; Border Trail is a good local trail; a tremendous place to camp here at Burncoat Pond is The Woodlot Campground. High temperatures at Burncoat Pond throughout the summer months are in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Burncoat Pond are in the 0's. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! Burncoat Pond is so good! The Munyan Trail offers hiking at its best, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Quaboag River. This lake is so wonderful. A nice close by hotel is Redwood Motel, and why not head up to Pine Ridge and strap some skis to your feet.
