Throughout the warm days of summer highs here at Bugs Swamp get into the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Bugs Swamp sink into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. A tour to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is recommended, and you can hit the slopes at Wachusett Mountain in the vicinity. A glorious spot for whitewater paddling close to Bugs Swamp is Quinebaug River, and going for a hike along the Munyan Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.
