Go to Bugs Swamp if you want to go to a nice lake. Any time is a great time at Bugs Swamp if you go for the outdoors. This lake is so wonderful. There's magnificent hiking along the Border Trail, and soar down the rapids of Quinebaug River in a kayak. Lots of folks from Worcester come to Bugs Swamp; get dripping wet paddling on Clear and Branch.

Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a very glorious spot to go to right next door to Bugs Swamp, and delightful hiking is available along the Ross Trail. Falls Camping Area.
Bugs Swamp is a wet spot that gets much precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Auburn, and
everyone close by loves skiing at Wachusett Mountain. Bugs Swamp is near Hudson Pond Dam which is a gorgeous place definitely worth taking a look at, and Best Western is a good site to get some rest.
Don't leave Bugs Swamp without
first going for a hike along the Munyan Trail, and camping is available at Webster Koa Family Kampground. High temperatures at Bugs Swamp during the summer are in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's with temperatures at Bugs Swamp dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
