What a nice lake Buffumville Lake is. Some of the water nearby flows, like Little River, and Quinebaug River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. Just can't get enough of Buffumville Lake. This is a wonderful region for people who like lakes. Ashworth Pond is a lake close by, and dry warm beds await you at Redwood Motel. Pine Ridge is a glorious local ski area; camping at Charlton Applewood Campgrounds is always a nice experience.

| | to do at Buffumville Lake, so little time. Paddling on Clear and Branch is so much fun, and while you're here you can play some golf at Pakachoag Golf Course. If you need a location to stay Hampton Inn Auburn is a pleasant choice, and the summit of Conlin Hill can be seen from Buffumville Lake. Near Buffumville Lake you stumble on the Border Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and Buffumville Dam is stunning.

hike on the Munyan Trail is always a great adventure, and Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a delightful site close by. For the period of the summer months highs here at Buffumville Lake reach the 70's
while night lows are usually in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Buffumville Lake.
Buffumville Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the
wettest month of the year is mostly May, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Wachusett Mountain is next to Buffumville Lake; Buffumville
Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Wood Lot Campground is a good local campground. Go for a hike on the Walkabout Trail, and there are plenty of people from Worcester here.
