There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Buffumville Lake. Looking for something near Buffumville Lake? South Charlton Reservoir is nearby; there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Clear and Branch. Good hiking is available along the Munyan Trail, and you don’t have to go far from Buffumville Lake to catch a glimpse of the water at Buffumville Dam. This lake is so wonderful. Little River is a great spot to       pop by, and what would winter be without some skiing at Wachusett Mountain. At Buffumville Lake throughout the summertime months highs are in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Buffumville Lake temperatures plunge to the 0's. There's magnificent hiking along the Walkabout Trail, and Conlin Hill can be seen from Buffumville Lake.                  Buffumville Lake is a wet location that gets a great deal of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May, and February is the month with the least moisture. After a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Worcester Auburn is a great site to spend a night or two, and Buffumville Lake is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Charlton Applewood Campgrounds is a nice place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Border Trail, and next to Buffumville Lake you discover a golf course called Pakachoag Golf Course. Be careful coming to Buffumville Lake, you might not ever wanna go home again. Wood Lot Campground is a wonderful local campground, and Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a great national park. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Auburn. If you're visiting Buffumville Lake from Worcester, you won't be the only one, unsurprisingly you could also pop by Buffum Pond since you're here; it's not far at all.
