Buffumville Lake is close to Buffumville Dam which is a scenic place definitely worth stopping at, and visiting Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Clear and Branch for all you adrenaline rush seekers; Buffumville Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Wood Lot Campground is a fine local campground. | | Lake generally tend to be in the 70's, and the overnight is a tad colder of course, typically in the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Buffumville Lake. Buffumville Lake is not the only site close by, Buffum Pond is a close by lake; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Pine Ridge. Buffumville Lake you obtain a wonderful vista of Conlin Hill. Playing golf is lots of fun at Pakachoag Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Fairfield Inn & Suites Worcester Auburn; a fine place to camp
here at Buffumville Lake is Charlton Applewood Campgrounds. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Buffumville Lake. Take a hike on the Munyan Trail, and a quick spree to Little
River is beyond doubt a glorious idea. Buffumville Lake is a quite wet place usually with much rain; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February. There are some nice whitewater spots on Quinebaug
River; lots of folks from Worcester come here. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Buffumville Lake. Really good skiing awaits you at Wachusett Mountain, and hiking along the Walkabout Trail is brilliant
fun. You could also pop by South Charlton Reservoir if you're here at Buffumville Lake; it's nearby, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Border Trail.
