This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Buffumville Lake, and a golf course close by is Pakachoag Golf Course. Very great water scenery is available at Gordon Dam near Buffum Pond, and do pay a visit to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor if you're here at Buffum Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is pretty, you get a nice vista of Carp Hill from Buffum Pond, and       during your journey here you'll meet some people from Worcester for sure. If you came for an overnight stay Indian Ranch Campground is a wonderful spot to camp, and going for a hike on the Walkabout Trail is always a brilliant adventure. Gotta ski! Pine Ridge is a good place to do that, and hey, Little River is a great local stream. Any time is a great time at Buffum Pond if you like the outdoors. Get drenched paddling on Clear and Branch, and Buffum Pond is not the only spot nearby, Augutleback Pond is a nearby lake. High temperatures at Buffum Pond all through the summertime months are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are usually in the 30's with temperatures at Buffum Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Everybody close by loves skiing at Wachusett Mountain, and close by you hit upon the Munyan Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. There is a delightful hiking trail near Buffum Pond called the Border Trail, and whitewater paddling is glorious on Quinebaug River.
