This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Bush Notch is right next door to Buck Pond and is certainly a fine spot to have a look at; there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Little River. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Buck Pond; County Road Trail       is a nice local trail, and Doe Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit. Good hiking is available along the Link Trail, and a magnificent nearby hotel is Econo Lodge Inn & Suites. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Connecticut River, and hey, Barry Brook is a great local stream. At Buck Pond you always meet someone from Springfield; do go to Round Pond, it's a wonderful lake. Buck Pond gets much water; May is the month that gets the most rain; the driest                  month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Sodom Mountain Campground, and Blandford has great slopes and a friendly staff. There's tremendous hiking along the Richard Trail, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites WESTFIELD is a good site to spend a night or two. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll love Buck Pond. An afternoon playing golf at East Mountain Country Club is always a bliss. During the days of summer highs here at Buck Pond get into the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
