that's next to Bradford Pond. Summer at Bradford Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and during the dark
hours in the wintertime at Bradford Pond temperatures dip to the 10's. The high level of rain makes Bradford Pond a quite wet spot; the wettest month of the year is regularly November, that's the one that rains the most, and August
is when it's the driest. There's a brilliant forest near Bradford Pond called Harold Parker State Forest; if you need a place to stay Sheraton Colonial Boston North Hotel & Conference Center is a tremendous choice. This is a great
vicinity for people who like lakes. Salem Pond is a lake in close proximity; Mill Meadow is a swamp in the neighborhood of Bradford Pond.

Lake Cochichewick
 | Lake Cochichewick formerly known as Great Pond, is located near the inersections of rt 125 and Great Pond Road in North Andover MA. The lake is a little over 200 acres and long and narrow but widens quite a bit in the middle. The average depth near in the midde is about 40ft however the lake can reach depths of up to 60ft. The lake is a protected reservoir so fishing and boating are by town permit only. Swimming and gas moters are prohibited. Large and small mouth bass are in decent numbers as well as perch, pickerel, sunfish, also there is Northern Pike around but few have hooked up one in the summer season. Mercury level are fairly high so it is recomended to limit the consumption of fish to 1 meal a month. Most of the locals you will meet on the lake are all artificial bait, catch and release fisherman.... |
