Whitewater paddling is great on Concord River, and camping is available at Sunset Park. A good deal of rain falls at Brackett Pond; throughout November this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is August. This lake is so wonderful. The sights at Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area will blow your mind, and camping at Lorraine Park Campground is always a great experience. | | at Blue Hills; you'll find a pretty lake called Collins Pond. At Brackett Pond during the warm months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's while Brackett Pond overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express ANDOVER NORTH-LAWRENCE is a good place to spend a night or two; why not a little side trip to Rapers Brook. | |

Aslebe Hill is painless to spot from Brackett Pond, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Greens at Thomson Country Club. Man, is there a load of entertaining stuff to do next to Brackett Pond. You'll
meet a lot of people from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy here; a wonderful forest close by is Harold Parker State Forest. If only every location had this much outdoors fun things, what a great world it would be. If you need a location to
stay Residence Inn Boston Woburn is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Brackett Pond, you could also take a look at delightful Bear Pond, and Silver Lake Town Beach is a wonderful beach to take a look at.
Gotta ski! Bradford is a good location to do that, and at Brackett Pond Dam in the neighborhood of Brackett Pond there are some exciting things to see.

Lake Cochichewick
 | Lake Cochichewick formerly known as Great Pond, is located near the inersections of rt 125 and Great Pond Road in North Andover MA. The lake is a little over 200 acres and long and narrow but widens quite a bit in the middle. The average depth near in the midde is about 40ft however the lake can reach depths of up to 60ft. The lake is a protected reservoir so fishing and boating are by town permit only. Swimming and gas moters are prohibited. Large and small mouth bass are in decent numbers as well as perch, pickerel, sunfish, also there is Northern Pike around but few have hooked up one in the summer season. Mercury level are fairly high so it is recomended to limit the consumption of fish to 1 meal a month. Most of the locals you will meet on the lake are all artificial bait, catch and release fisherman.... |
