After a long day outdoors University Lodge is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and Bowens Pond is a delightful spot to visit for more than one day, Wagon wheel Camping Area is a delightful spot to camp nearby. Wickett Pond is a wonderful lake near Bowens Pond. You'll need more than a       day to discover everything Bowens Pond has to offer, you can camp at Wagonwheel Campground. Get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Ashuelot River, and one of the main characteristics of the surroundings of Bowens Pond is Bear Mountain. For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Bowens Pond reach the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 30's, and night lows in the 0's                  for Bowens Pond. Bowens Pond is a wet place that gets a great deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls all through November, and February is the month with the least moisture.
