Quashnet River is a stream that you may encounter while you're here, and Red Brook Road Dam is beautiful. For the period of the days of summer here at Bourne Pond, high temperatures usually get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Bourne Pond dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. choice, and South Cape Beach is rather close by if you're in a beach type of mood. Bourne Pond is a relatively wet place typically with lots of rain; November is when you get the most rain here while June is the month with the least
amount of precipitation. Enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Menauhant Beach; a golf course close by is Quashnet Valley Country Club.

It's a cool campground to go to but if you like to stay out late stay away because they come around at like ten and make everyone go bad to their own camp sites and you can't stay at that play ground. And if you don't go back to your campsite when they make their second rounds the rangers chase you on golf carts. Which is pretty fun because you have to out run them. But everything else is pretty chill.... |

I was interested in a rental on Widgeon Pond. I stayed there many years ago and loved it....I have a cottage on Widgeon Pond. Nice, quiet and relaxing pond with reasonable fishing. Swimming is nice but sometimes the water is really high, almost to the extent where there is no beach at all. Some people have small parties or gatherings, but there aren't any loud parties. Very calming place to chill out.... |
