All the water falling down from the sky makes Blackwater Pond a wet spot; November is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is July. If you need a site to stay Crowne Pointe Historic Inn is a good choice, and nothing beats kicking back at Race Point Beach. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Dunes' Edge Camp Ground.
