Man, is there lots of entertaining stuff to do close to Black Pond. Some of the water close by flows, like Cedar Swamp Brook; if you want to hit the beach, YWCA Beach is close at hand. Go for a hike on the Walkabout Trail. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Quinebaug River, and Blissful Meadows Golf Club is a great golf course close by. This lake       is so wonderful. On a glorious day you can stop at Cedar Swamp, a swamp near Black Pond; camping is available at Echo Lake Campground. High temperatures at Black Pond during the long summer days are in the 80's while night lows are mostly in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Black Pond. If you need a place to stay Comfort Suites Smithfield is a good choice; a spree to Spring                  Lake Beach is always a perfect idea. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Sutton; camping at Winding Brook Camping Area is always a nice experience. If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great world it would be. Lee Reservoir Dam is pretty and it's in the vicinity of Black Pond, and during your spree here you'll meet some people from Worcester for sure. Black Pond is a wet location that gets much rain; most of the rain falls through November, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. The sights at Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor will blow your mind, and going for a hike on the Ross Trail is always a wonderful adventure.
