Torrey Pond is a lake close by, and one of the best things about this spot is its proximity to Sandy Beach. This lake is so wonderful. Beaches are great; and Bassing Beach close to Black Pond is no exception, and Black Pond is a great site to visit for more than one day, Robins Pond Camp Ground is a great site to camp nearby. All our national parks are tremendous locations to explore, and Boston Harbor Islands National       Recreation Area is no exception, and the summit of Black Pond Hill can be made out from Black Pond. A day on the slopes of Blue Hills is just what you need. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Black Pond; November is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is July. For the period of the warmest time of the year at Black Pond highs are generally in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. For the period of                  the winter highs are in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Black Pond. Dry warm beds await you at The Inn at Scituate Harbor, and swamps like Black Pond Swamp in the vicinity of Black Pond make for perfect places to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Cohasset Tidal Rip is so much fun, and in all probability you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Bound Brook Pond is just a very short distance away. Norwell Campsites is a good campground nearby, and Bound Brook Pond Dam is not far at all from Black Pond. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a perfect time here at Black Pond.
