Black Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Taunton, Ma, and whitewater paddling is great on Charles River. This lake is so wonderful. The peak of Prospect Hill can be distinguished from Black Pond, and camping at Canoe River Campground is always a perfect experience.

| | Raynham - Taunton is a good choice, and do stop by Watson Pond, it's a delightful lake. Winnecunnet Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out, and an afternoon playing golf at Parker John F Municipal Golf Course is always a delight. A spree to Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area is worthwhile, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Blue Hills since you're here.

Black Pond there are some interesting things to see; swamps like Pine Swamp are fun to take a look at. A delightful location to camp here at Black Pond is Canoe River Campground, and swing by Snake River it's a perfect place to check
out. Summer at Black Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows at Black Pond during the wintertime frequently fall into the 10's.
Black Pond gets lots of water; most of the rain falls through November, and the driest month of the year is July.
