If you are traveling by, why not stop by Black Brook Reservoir. High temperatures at Black Brook Reservoir during the long summer days are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. at Black Brook Reservoir you can take a hike along the Link Trail, and a great view of pretty Great Moose Hill is available.
There's so much to do here at Black Brook Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Laurel Ridge
Camping Area is a good location for that, and get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Westfield River. All the water falling down from the sky makes Black Brook Reservoir a wet location; the month with most of the rain is
August while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you came to camp Beartown State Forest is a fine site to do that, and Black Brook Dam is a scenic location, without doubt worth visiting.
