Courtyard Boston Norwood is a wonderful site to get some rest. Lakes are nice; Plimpton Pond is a lake that's next to Bird Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Bird Pond is not far at all from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy. Charles River has a good whitewater       paddling spot close by, and Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area is a good national park. For the period of the warm months here at Bird Pond, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Bird Pond temperatures plunge to the 10's. Much rain falls at Bird Pond; during November this area sees the most rain; the driest                  month is June. All the outdoors cool stuff next to Bird Pond will keep you coming back many times. For you golfers we recommend nearby Royal Crest Country Club, and why not take a look at Bird Pond Dam while you're here. Camping at Canoe River Campground is always a wonderful experience, and you're probably into lakes, Ellis Pond is one of those nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
