Big Station Pond is a rather wet place ordinarily with a lot of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is frequently November, that's the one that rains the most; July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Don't miss out on a tour to Cape Cod National Seashore if you're       here at Big Station Pond, and you can hit the beach if you want, Monomoy Beach is practically right here. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Powder Hole, and of course, A visit to Handkerchief Shoal is always fun. Dry warm beds await you at Chatham Seafarer, and since you're here you must explore Monomoy Point. During the warmest time of the year at Big Station Pond temperatures are typically in the 70's. During the                  dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Big Station Pond dip into the 10's. Grindell's Ocean View Park is a tremendous campground nearby, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Fort Hill Trail. Lighthouse Marsh is an out of the ordinary swamp near Big Station Pond, and this is a pleasant location in the shadow of the Monomoy Island Dunes.
