     Big Pond is a nice lake to visit. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Big Pond. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are typically in the 30's, and night lows at Big Pond all through the wintertime typically drop into the 10's. You'll meet a lot of folks from Pittsfield here. Big Pond is a wet spot that gets a large amount of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August, and January meanwhile is  
   the driest month.
Go for a hike on the Link Trail, and why not head up to Blandford and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. Near Big Pond you discover the County Road Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail, and at Big Pond you can make out Church Hill. Get your pulse rate up on the splendid whitewater of Farmington River - West Branch. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Big Pond has to offer, you can camp at J and D Marina.
 
               This lake is so wonderful. Otis Ridge is a very popular ski area close at hand; possibly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Benton Pond is just a very short distance away. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a glorious time here at Big Pond. Going for a hike on the Richard Trail is always a nice adventure, and White Lily Pond Dam has glorious water scenery. There's so much to do here at Big Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Laurel Ridge Camping Area is a good location for that, and Best Value Inn-Lee is a great place to get some rest.
A magnificent nearby hotel is Lee Super 8 Motel, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Fall River.
