This lake is so wonderful. Big Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, J and D Marina is a pleasant local campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Link Trail. But wait, there's more to do close to Big Pond. If you need a place to stay Lee Super 8 Motel is a great choice; glide down the rapids of Fall River in a kayak. Really magnificent skiing awaits you at Otis Ridge; you can spot       Church Hill from Big Pond. The high level of rain makes Big Pond a pretty wet place; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while January is commonly the driest month. This place, Big Pond, it absolutely has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Blandford has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff; White Lily Pond Dam is not far at all from Big Pond. Camping at Cold Spring Campground is always a nice experience, and not far from                  Big Pond you'll discover White Lily Pond which is a beautiful lake. This lake is so wonderful. Pilgrim Inn is a good spot to get some rest; if you're stopping by from Pittsfield, you won't be the only one. Good hiking is available along the County Road Trail; paddling on Farmington River - West Branch is so much fun. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Benton Pond, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Big Pond; Richard Trail is a fine local trail. At Big Pond through the months of summer highs are in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
