If you like swamps, you're in luck, Salt Marsh is right close by. Lakes are magnificent; Wrights Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Bellevue Pond. The Middlesex Fells towers over Bellevue Pond, and as expected, all our national parks are good spots to have a look at and Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area is no exception. This lake is so wonderful. Mount Andrew is simple to spot from Bellevue Pond; golf can be played at Stoneham Oaks Golf Course.

| | You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area near Bellevue Pond has to offer. Camping at Camp Cedar is always a tremendous experience; what would winter be without some skiing at Bradford. At Bellevue Pond through the summertime months highs are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. here at Bellevue Pond, and swing by Alewife Brook it's a splendid location to pop by. Here at Bellevue Pond there are plenty of folks from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy, and a splendid location to camp here at Bellevue Pond is Camp Micah.
Bellevue Pond beyond doubt is in the middle of a striking outdoors paradise. If you want to hit the beach, Orient Heights Beach is close by, and Comfort Inn Woburn is a nice location to get some rest. Whitewater paddling is glorious
on Concord River, and a good nearby hotel is Hyatt Place Boston Medford. Bellevue Pond is a rather wet place generally with much rainfall; throughout November this area sees the most rain; August is when it's the driest. This lake
is so wonderful. Charles River has a glorious whitewater paddling spot nearby, and you don’t have to go far from Bellevue Pond to spot the water at Wrights Pond Dam.

Lake Cochichewick
 | 13 miles away Lake Cochichewick formerly known as Great Pond, is located near the inersections of rt 125 and Great Pond Road in North Andover MA. The lake is a little over 200 acres and long and narrow but widens quite a bit in the middle. The average depth near in the midde is about 40ft however the lake can reach depths of up to 60ft. The lake is a protected reservoir so fishing and boating are by town permit only. Swimming and gas moters are prohibited. Large and small mouth bass are in decent numbers as well as perch, pickerel, sunfish, also there is Northern Pike around but few have hooked up one in the summer season. Mercury level are fairly high so it is recomended to limit the consumption of fish to 1 meal a month. Most of the locals you will meet on the lake are all artificial bait, catch and release fisherman.... |
