Not far from Bear Pond, you'll discover Bear Pond which is a stunning lake, and if you want to stop at some out of the ordinary stuff, stop at Forty Steps. Spend the day on the beach at Pond Beach while you're here at Bear Pond. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Bear Pond with overnight lows in the 60's. A round of golf at nearby Tedesco Country Club Grounds is a good way to kill some time; there are some fine whitewater spots on Cohasset Tidal Rip. is the one with the most rain while July is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Lynn Harbor is a wonderful place close to Bear Pond. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Bear Pond has to offer,
you can camp at Prospect Lake Park. All the outdoors fun stuff near Bear Pond will keep you coming back time and again. Lakes? Sure, Goldfish Pond is around here; a day at lovely Black Rock Beach in close proximity to Bear Pond is
a delightful thing to do. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! Bear Pond rules! There's so much to do here at Bear Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Norwell Campsites is a wonderful location for that, and Black
Mine is a good place to spend some time. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Suburban Extended Stay Logan Airport is a good choice, and a visit to Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area is worthwhile.
A great sight of gorgeous Baileys Hill is available from Bear Pond, and the great people of Boston-Cambridge-Quincy like to hang out nearby.

Lake Cochichewick
 | 18 miles away Lake Cochichewick formerly known as Great Pond, is located near the inersections of rt 125 and Great Pond Road in North Andover MA. The lake is a little over 200 acres and long and narrow but widens quite a bit in the middle. The average depth near in the midde is about 40ft however the lake can reach depths of up to 60ft. The lake is a protected reservoir so fishing and boating are by town permit only. Swimming and gas moters are prohibited. Large and small mouth bass are in decent numbers as well as perch, pickerel, sunfish, also there is Northern Pike around but few have hooked up one in the summer season. Mercury level are fairly high so it is recomended to limit the consumption of fish to 1 meal a month. Most of the locals you will meet on the lake are all artificial bait, catch and release fisherman.... |
