This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Ross Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and needless to say Bating Brook is a wonderful stream that is worth a visit. Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a fine site in the neighborhood of Bating Pond, and from Bating Pond you obtain a great vista of Bald Hill. All the water falling down from the sky makes Bating       Pond a wet place; the wettest month of the year is regularly November, that's the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture. There's so much to do here at Bating Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Kings Campground is a perfect location for that; on a delightful day you can check out YWCA Beach. While you're here at Bating Pond you can take a hike along the Munyan Trail, and Spring Lake Beach is a picturesque beach                  to check out. Summertime highs at Bating Pond generally tend to be in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Bating Pond. So many enjoyable things to do here at Bating Pond, too great to be true. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Bating Pond has to offer, you can camp at Winding Brook Camping Area, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Auburn is a perfect place to get some rest. Bating Pond is not far at all from Worcester, and glide down the rapids of Clear and Branch in a kayak. If you come at the right time of year, Quinebaug River offers some good whitewater, and Dudley Pond Dam is wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. On a brilliant day at Bating Pond you can take a hike along the Walkabout Trail, and if you need a location to stay Econo Lodge Sutton is a brilliant choice. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Wachusett Mountain. Lakes are great; Chase Pond is a lake that's next to Bating Pond. Yeah, come here to Bating Pond for a great time.
