Wachusett
Mountain is a wonderful local ski area. If you need a location to stay Econo Lodge Sutton is a wonderful choice, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Clear and Branch. A good deal of rain falls at Bating Pond; the month
of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
This lake is so wonderful. A quick journey to Bating Brook near Bating Pond is a delightful idea, and going for a hike along the Munyan
Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. If you're looking for a beach in close proximity to Bating Pond, we recommend YWCA Beach, and Dudley Pond Dam is picturesque. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Bating
Pond; the night is rather chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows through the wintertime for Bating Pond tend to be in the 10's.
