If you get bored of Basin Pond, you could also go to close by Finerty Pond; hiking along the Wild Cat Trail is splendid fun. Basin Pond gets a large amount of water; throughout the month of June you get the most rain around here while February is generally the driest month. For the duration of the summer months at Basin Pond temperatures are regularly in the 80's; the nighttime is slightly cooler of course, typically in the 50's. High temperatures all through

Area is a delightful place to spend a night or two. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things close to Basin Pond. Basin Pond is a brilliant location to visit for more than one day, Bonny Rigg Camping Club is a brilliant location
to camp nearby, and Finerty Pond Dam is a spot that is in the vicinity of Basin Pond. There's whitewater on Farmington River - West Branch for all you thrill seekers, and Basin Pond is not the only location nearby, Greenwater
Pond is a nearby lake. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Bousquet while you're here; Mountain View Campground is a splendid local campground. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Turner Trail, and you'll
almost certainly meet some folks from Pittsfield here. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Pilgrim Inn is a nice choice, and what would winter be without some skiing at Catamount. There are some great whitewater
spots on Konkapot Brook, and let's not forget Higley Brook which is a stream that you may encounter while here.
