Indian Mound Beach is near Barret Pond if you're in a beach type of mood, and here at Barret Pond you can make out Federal Hill. Myles Standish State Forest is worth checking out, and a magnificent close by hotel is Comfort Inn Plymouth. All the water falling down from the sky makes Barret Pond a wet place; the month of November is the wettest       with most of the rain, and June is when it's the driest. For the period of the long summer days here at Barret Pond, high temperatures typically get into the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Barret Pond temperatures drop to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps can be such out of the ordinary places, stop at Carver Bog since you're here at Barret                  Pond. Why not camp at Ellis Haven Family Campground while you're here at Barret Pond, and on a wonderful day it's a great idea to spend the day at Minot Forest Beach. This lake is so wonderful. Barret Pond is near East Head Pond Dam which is a striking site without doubt worth checking out. Lakes? Sure, East Head Bog Reservoir is close at hand. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Barret Pond.
