hiking is available along the Indian Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Barbieri Reservoir, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime
temperatures at Barbieri Reservoir dip into the 0's.
The skiing at Ski Butternut is great, and going for a hike on the Wild Cat Trail is always a nice adventure. A good forest in the vicinity of Barbieri Reservoir is East Mountain
State Forest, and Bousquet is a pleasant local ski area. Stay the night at Maple Glade Campground, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Great Barrington, Ma is a delightful spot to spend a night or two.
Benedict Pond is a nearby lake that you could pop by; the vista of Three Mile Hill is wonderful. Barbieri Reservoir is a wet site that gets lots of rain; the month with most of the rain is August; the driest of the months is February.
This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Elbow Trail, and places like Butternut Basin are delightful to visit.
