Swamps like Quivett Creek Marshes near Bakers Pond make for delightful locations to check out, and hiking along the Red Maple Swamp Trail is tremendous fun. This lake is so wonderful. You'll find a wonderful lake called Pine Pond near Bakers Pond, and if you came to camp Shady Knoll Campground is a pleasant place to do that. Spend the day on the       beach at Paine's Creek Beach while you're here at Bakers Pond, and do check out Slough Pond, it's a striking lake. Bakers Pond gets a good deal of water; most of the rain falls through November; the driest month of the year is July. At Bakers Pond through the warm months highs are in the 70's while night lows are frequently in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Bakers Pond. A round of golf at                  nearby Blue Rock Par 3 Golf Course is a magnificent way to kill some time, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Great Island Trail. What a place this is for outdoors people. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Cape Cod National Seashore is a national park worth visiting. There's so much to do here at Bakers Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Old Chatham Road Recreational Vehicle is a wonderful place for that. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the neighborhood of Bakers Pond. One of the best things about Bakers Pond is its proximity to Sesuit Beach, and there are plenty of people from Barnstable Town here.
