The scenery at W D Cheney Dam in close proximity to Baker Pond is beautiful, and you can observe Chamberlin Mountain from Baker Pond. The warmest time of the year at Baker Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Baker Pond a wet spot; during the month of May you get the most rain around here; February on the other hand is the driest. While you're here at Baker Pond, you could also stop by delightful Little Alum Pond, and if you come at the right time of year, Quaboag River offers some pleasant whitewater. | |

This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Pine Ridge are so inviting nobody can resist, and golf can be played at Hemlock Ridge Golf Course. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. There are some good whitewater spots
on Natchaug River; camping is available at Quinebaug Cove Campground. A great close by hotel is Quality Inn Sturbridge, and swamps are exciting locations and Single Swamp next to Baker Pond is no exception. You'll locate a wonderful
lake called Shephard Pond near Baker Pond, and why not camp at Village Green Family Campground if you're here at Baker Pond.
