If you need a place to       stay Econo Lodge Sturbridge is a pleasant choice, and Baker Pond is a location with many visitors from Willimantic. All the water falling down from the sky makes Baker Pond a wet spot; during the month of May you get the most rain around here; February on the other hand is the driest. While you're here at Baker Pond, you could also stop by delightful Little Alum Pond, and if you come at the right time of year, Quaboag River offers some pleasant whitewater.                  This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Pine Ridge are so inviting nobody can resist, and golf can be played at Hemlock Ridge Golf Course. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. There are some good whitewater spots on Natchaug River; camping is available at Quinebaug Cove Campground. A great close by hotel is Quality Inn Sturbridge, and swamps are exciting locations and Single Swamp next to Baker Pond is no exception.
