The high level of rain makes Baker Pond a pretty wet site; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Baker Pond you can take a hike along the Fort Hill Trail; if you're looking for a beach close by we recommend Rock Harbor Beach.       Looking for a perfect trip? Cape Cod National Seashore is rather right next door to Baker Pond, and nothing beats kicking back at Skaket Beach. Vespers Pond is a great lake right next door to Baker Pond, and camping at Idle Time Rv Park & Campground is always a magnificent experience. If the weather is pleasant here at Baker Pond, you can go for a hike along the Buttonbush Trail; as expected Little Namskaket Creek flows through this neighborhood. Have a magnificent                  hiking adventure along the Red Maple Swamp Trail, and Skaket Beach Motel is a delightful location to get some rest. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Baker Pond. Playing golf is lots of fun at Captain's Golf Course the, and after a long day outdoors Olde Tavern Motel and Inn is a nice site to spend a night or two. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Baker Pond. Baker Pond is not far at all from Barnstable Town. Through the warmest time of the year here at Baker Pond, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's with overnight lows in the 60's. All through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Baker Pond temperatures descend to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
