Take a look at nearby Douglas Cedar Swamp; whitewater paddling is not for everyone       but if it's for you then, we recommend Quinebaug River. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Badluck Lake, so little time. The nice people of Worcester like to hang out close by; Econo Lodge Sutton is a perfect site to get some rest. There's a forest here at Badluck Lake called Douglass State Forest. Lakes? Sure, Whitin Reservoir is in close proximity. If you haven’t been to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor, you should schedule                  some time for it since you're here; after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Auburn is a nice site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Kings Campground is always a great experience; going for a hike along the Munyan Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. This location rocks, just explore all the fun things to do right next door to Badluck Lake. Hiking along the Ross Trail is tremendous fun; there's some attention-grabbing stuff to catch a sight of at Whitin Reservoir Dam next to Badluck Lake. Wadkin Hill is clearly visible from Badluck Lake; if you come at the right time of year, Clear and Branch offers some pleasant whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Lake Manchaug Camping is a wonderful location to do that, and Morse Pond is a good lake close by. For the period of the summertime highs here at Badluck Lake reach the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's.
