Hiking is a popular thing to do around Augutleback Pond; Border Trail is a splendid local trail, and at Augutleback Pond you can catch a glimpse of Carp Hill. This lake is so wonderful. Indian Ranch Campground is a pleasant campground nearby, and don't miss out on a visit to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor while you're       here. McKinstry Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and if you're a golfer then a great close by course is Pakachoag Golf Course. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff right next door to Augutleback Pond. Do stop by Hodges Village Dam if you're here at Augutleback Pond, and after a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn & Suites Worcester Auburn is a great place to spend a night or two. A pleasant nearby hotel is Hampton Inn Auburn;                  if you're here, you could also have a look at beautiful Hodges Village Pond. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Wachusett Mountain since you're here, and the Munyan Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. A good deal of rain falls at Augutleback Pond; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Quinebaug River; there are swamps here too, Cedar Swamp is nearby. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Augutleback Pond is a place with many visitors from Worcester, and whitewater paddling is brilliant on Clear and Branch. At Augutleback Pond all through the summertime months highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Augutleback Pond.
