All the water falling down from the sky makes Ashworth Pond a wet place; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. If you came to camp Wood Lot Campground is a perfect site to do that, and during your journey here you'll meet some folks from Worcester for sure. Go for a hike on the Munyan Trail, and if you need a place to stay       Hampton Inn Auburn is a pleasant choice. Ashworth Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, The Woodlot Campground is a glorious local campground; there are good places to discover along the Border Trail. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the area close to Ashworth Pond has to offer. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm places, why not stop by Buffumville Lake right next door to Ashworth Pond; get yourself                  into a kayak and hit Quinebaug River. Dry warm beds await you at Redwood Motel, and the vista of beautiful Austin Hill is nice. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Walkabout Trail, and close to Ashworth Pond you discover a golf course called Hillcrest Country Club. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Pine Ridge is next to Ashworth Pond, and as expected, all our national parks are good locations to stop at and Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is no exception. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Ashworth Pond. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Ashworth Pond tend to be in the 0's. Ashworth Pond beyond doubt is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise.
