Ashley Reservoir is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Take a hike on the Cheshire Harbor Trail, and do have a look at Ashley Brook since you're here at Ashley Reservoir. The high level of precipitation makes Ashley Reservoir a reasonably wet place; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. That right there is lots already, but it carries on; Ashley Reservoir has it all. Wahconah Country

Catamount

Onota Lake
 | Please consider banning the feeding of migratory birds at Onota (and other) lakes as the effluent adds greatly to our increasing weed problem.... |

Jiminy Peak's Base Area includes a beautiful Village Center that addresses all of your needs. As you arrive and unload in the drop off area, you first notice the Paul Major welcome center. Inside you'll find the Guest Services desk, as well as a Renewable Energy Education Center. Walker Island Camping
 | 16 miles away The staff at Walker Island was very friendly. There were many faucets located near campsites, and an outhouse, and an outlet in some sites. Our sites were located by the brook which on the other side is a busy road that large trucks occasionally rumble by. The pool was 5ft deep, compared to the 'small beach' which is literally a pile of sand plopped by the brook. No swimming in this beach. The arrow pointing to the spring is really a spring hung on a tree. Not so funny when your vacation hopes were to swim in some natural waters. Hiking may be difficult to find ask for directions.... |
