Ashley Lake is not the only place nearby, Sandwash Reservoir is a nearby lake, and get your pulse rate up on the wonderful whitewater of Konkapot Brook. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Bousquet, as expected you could also take a look at Clapp Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Ashley Lake is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Bissellville Campground is a tremendous place to camp nearby;

| | going for a hike along the Turner Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Ashley Lake has to offer, you can camp at Fernwood Forest Campground, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Wild Cat Trail. Lake there are plenty of folks from Pittsfield, and you can run the rapids of Westfield River - West Branch. A tremendous close by hotel is Travelodge Pittsfield, and playing golf is lots of fun at Bass Ridge Country Club. That
right there is lots already, but it goes on; Ashley Lake has it all. You can spot Warner Hill from Ashley Lake, and after a long day outdoors Crowne Plaza Hotel PITTSFIELD-BERKSHIRES is a nice site to spend a night or two. This is
no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Ashley Lake is a reasonably wet place typically with lots of rainfall; most of the rain falls during June; the driest month of the year is February. Summertime highs at Ashley Lake
generally tend to be in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Ashley Lake fall into the 10's.
