This lake is so wonderful.       Souhegan River is a great whitewater spot near Ashby Reservoir, and while you're here you can play some golf at Woods of Westminster Golf Course. You simply ought to like Ashby Reservoir. Not far from Ashby Reservoir, you'll stumble on Upper Wrights Pond which is a pretty lake, and don't leave Ashby Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Old Country Road. What would winter be without some skiing at Wachusett Mountain; if you need a site to stay Courtyard                  Fitchburg is a wonderful choice. Throughout the days of summer here at Ashby Reservoir, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Ashby Reservoir dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stony Brook; if you came to camp Plaza Court Motel and Campgrounds is a wonderful spot to do that.
