Take a little tour to Munroe Brook while you're here at Arlington Reservoir; paddling on Concord River is so much fun. Throughout the warmest time of the year, highs typically are in the 80's at Arlington Reservoir, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Arlington Reservoir. Playing golf is lots of fun at Woburn Country Club; Arlington Reservoir

Not far from Arlington Reservoir, you'll discover Duck Pond which is a picturesque lake, and Charles River has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby. is a wonderful location to spend a night or two. Great Meadows is an exciting swamp next to Arlington Reservoir. Lakes are pleasant; Mill Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Arlington Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful.
The peak of Arlington Heights Hills can be seen from Arlington Reservoir, and if you came for an overnight stay Camp Cedar is a great site to camp. Man, is there plenty of amusing stuff to do close to Arlington Reservoir. The skiing
at Bradford is magnificent. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Camping is available at Camp Micah, and if you need a site to stay Hyatt Summerfield Suites Boston Burlington is a delightful choice.

Lake Cochichewick
 | 15 miles away Lake Cochichewick formerly known as Great Pond, is located near the inersections of rt 125 and Great Pond Road in North Andover MA. The lake is a little over 200 acres and long and narrow but widens quite a bit in the middle. The average depth near in the midde is about 40ft however the lake can reach depths of up to 60ft. The lake is a protected reservoir so fishing and boating are by town permit only. Swimming and gas moters are prohibited. Large and small mouth bass are in decent numbers as well as perch, pickerel, sunfish, also there is Northern Pike around but few have hooked up one in the summer season. Mercury level are fairly high so it is recomended to limit the consumption of fish to 1 meal a month. Most of the locals you will meet on the lake are all artificial bait, catch and release fisherman.... |
