All the water falling down from the sky makes Areys Pond a wet place; November is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. There is a pleasant hiking trail close to Areys Pond called the Fort Hill Trail, and Cape Cod National Seashore is a perfect national park. This lake is so wonderful. Near Areys Pond you find the Red Maple Swamp       Trail which is a delightful hiking trail, and a day at stunning Rock Harbor Beach in the vicinity of Areys Pond is a glorious thing to do. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Areys Pond. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Captain's Golf Course the. There's so much to do here at Areys Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Atlantic Oaks RV Park is a good place for that. Be careful coming to Areys Pond, you might                  not ever want to go back home again. Ships Knees Inn is a tremendous spot to get some rest. A magnificent panorama of beautiful Indian Fort Hill is available from Areys Pond, and if you need a spot to stay Olde Tavern Motel and Inn is a great choice. On a perfect day you can check out The Narrows, a swamp near Areys Pond, and there are other spots here than Areys Pond, for example Gould Pond. Here at Areys Pond there are plenty of people from Barnstable Town, and going for a hike on the Buttonbush Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Not far from Areys Pond, you'll hit upon Pilgrim Lake which is a beautiful lake; Barley Neck is very near and is a tremendous place to check out. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Areys Pond, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Areys Pond temperatures descend to the 20's. On a wonderful day you can stop at Skaket Beach close to Areys Pond.
