    If you are in this part of Massachusetts make sure to pay a visit to Alum Pond. Stay the night at Quinebaug Cove Campground; there are plenty of folks from Willimantic here. Through the long summer days at Alum Pond highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and the nighttime is slightly chillier of course, typically in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; night lows at Alum Pond during the wintertime generally plunge into the 10's. Alum Pond  
   is a wet place that gets a great deal of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month of the year is February.
There's always Alum Pond Dam to have a look at close to Alum Pond; playing golf is lots of fun at Hemlock Ridge Golf Course. So many fun things in the neighborhood of Alum Pond, simply mind-boggling. A good site for whitewater paddling right next door to Alum Pond is Quaboag River; you'll never forgive yourself if you
 
               don’t go skiing at Pine Ridge if you're here. Natchaug River is a good whitewater spot next to Alum Pond, and the panorama of lovely Mount Dan is fine.
This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Alum Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Yogi Bear's Sturbridge Jellystone Park is a wonderful location for that; needless to say, this is a good region for folks who like lakes, Baker Pond is a lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. Single Swamp is an interesting swamp close to Alum Pond; Econo Lodge Sturbridge is a good location to get some rest.
If time allows, Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a national park worth going to; dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Sturbridge.
