Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Connecticut River; a lake nearby is Chicopee River Reservoir. If you came to camp Sunsetview Farm Camping Area is a glorious place to do that; Wilbraham Inn is a magnificent place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of folks from Springfield here at Alden Pond, and here at Alden Pond you can see Minechoag Mountain. Alden Pond is a wet place that gets lots of rainfall; most of the rain falls through
May; February on the other hand is the driest.
Enjoy a round of golf at Mill Valley Golf Links not far from Alden Pond. There's so much to do here at Alden Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Partridge Hollow Campground is a nice location for that. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Quaboag River; Reynolds Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin'

a splendid time here at Alden Pond. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Pine Ridge; a quick spree to Axe Factory Brook is without doubt a glorious idea.
At Alden Pond during the days of summer highs are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's; nighttime lows at Alden Pond throughout the winter mostly dip into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. MORE STUFF NEARBY:

Forest Lake
Firstly, Forest Lake does not offer any camping whatsoever, public or private. There is a Jewish retreat camp within 1/2 mile of Forest Lake, however that is not open to the public and is not on Forest Lake itself. Camp Ramah is on Pattaquattic Pond. In neighboring Monson, MA, there is a camp, but that is about 10 miles from the only access point offered to the public on Forest Lake, and is also not connected to Forest Lake in any way. Forest Lake in Palmer, MA, only has about 100 ft. of publicly accessible shore, probably about fifty of which is a swimmer's beach. Fishing is allowed. You can launch boats, but there is a 10 mph and 10 hp limit for motoring. Currently, the restaurant and bar across the street, ''Doyle's'', previously ''Lakeview Lounge'' is closed. Palmer is a lovely, quiet town off of the interstate with few accomodations for those looking to stay overnight, nevermind camp. Campers should look elsewhere and day-trip to Palmer if they want to try their luck at this small-town community beach....

WE are located on the beautiful East Brimfield Reservoir where there is a five mile canoe trail. WE offer some of the best fishing, hiking and camping in the area. Need more reasons? Sturbridge Village, Six Flags, Worcester Art Museums. We offer something in the area for everyone. And don't forget the Brimfield Flea Market in May, July and September!! One of the biggest outdoor flea markets!! WE are considered to be in the foothills of the beautiful Berkshires where hiking/walking abound. The Berkshires house many craft shops, Jacob's Pillow and some great restaurants.

Those are just a few of our attractions. Centally located to the Worcester and Springfield areas and not all that far from Boston. See the Sox!

Our Campgound has an olympic size pool, small store and the friendliest staff! Our manager, Lou, is available to help your stay become more memorable. With a good knowledge of our area and attractions he can assist you in your camping experience.

Come for a visit and come again!
