    Do stop by Abbey Lake while you're in this part of Massachusetts. A pleasant nearby hotel is Blackberry River Inn; the summits of the Berkshire Hills add much beauty to the vicinity. There are other places here than Abbey Lake, for example West Lake; get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of Fall River. Abbey Lake really is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Swamps can be such out of the ordinary spots, have a look at Abbey Swamp since  
   you're here at Abbey Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful sites, why not stop at Morley Swamp Reservoir next to Abbey Lake; there's whitewater on Farmington River - West Branch for all you thrill seekers. What a location this is for outdoors people. Why not visit Abbey Lake Dam since you're here; camping at Camp Overflow is always a glorious experience. Blandford is a very popular ski area around here, and the Elbow Trail is a great hiking
 
               trail nearby.
A great deal of rain falls at Abbey Lake; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. After a long day outdoors Lee Super 8 Motel is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and a good vista of delightful Abbey Hill is available. Ski Butternut has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff; on a great day you can take a hike along the Wild Cat Trail.
All through the months of summer highs here at Abbey Lake reach the 80's; the night is a bit chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Abbey Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of people from Pittsfield here at Abbey Lake, and a good spot to camp here at Abbey Lake is Cold Spring Campground.
