A pleasant site for whitewater paddling near Abbey Lake is Fall River, and the skiing at Blandford is wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Pittsfield here, and at Abbey Lake you can catch a glimpse of Abbey Hill. For the duration of the summer months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Abbey Lake, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are usually in the 30's while Abbey Lake nighttime low temperatures during

| | the winter are in the 10's. Abbey Lake is a wet location that gets a good deal of rain; most of the rain falls through August, and February on the other hand is the driest. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have a good time. Going for a hike along the Elbow Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. to camp here for a while, Camp Overflow is a good spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. There are other spots here than Abbey Lake, for example Morley Swamp Reservoir, and you can run the rapids of Farmington River - West Branch.
Not far from Abbey Lake, you'll locate West Lake which is a beautiful lake, and a day on the slopes of Ski Butternut is just what you need. The Berkshire Hills is one of the things that make Abbey Lake so wonderful; you can take a
little trip to Abbey Lake Dam while you're here at Abbey Lake. That right there is a heap already, but it continues; Abbey Lake has it all. Abbey Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Cold Spring Campground is a
magnificent local campground, and after a long day outdoors Americas Best Value Inn Lee is a good location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Wild Cat Trail is pleasant fun, and Blackberry River Inn is a glorious spot to get some rest.
