    Abbey Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. You're sure to come across some smiling people from Pittsfield here; Abbey Swamp is a swamp right next door to Abbey Lake. You get a wonderful vista of Abbey Hill from Abbey Lake, and if you need a location to stay Blackberry River Inn is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the glorious whitewater of Fall River, and Abbey Lake Dam is wonderful.
So
 
   many exciting things near Abbey Lake, definitely mind-blowing. Having a great time at Abbey Lake is trouble-free. Camp Overflow is a fine campground here, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Ski Butternut. After a long day outdoors Knox Trail Inn is a wonderful location to spend a night or two, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Wild Cat Trail.
Abbey Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; throughout the month of August you get the most
 
               rain around here while February is mostly the driest month. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Farmington River - West Branch, and the slopes of Blandford are so inviting nobody can resist. Abbey Lake is a brilliant spot to camp, Cold Spring Campground is a brilliant spot, and the Berkshire Hills towers over Abbey Lake.
At Abbey Lake all through the summer months highs are in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's; night lows through the winter for Abbey Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. This is a splendid neighborhood for people who like lakes. Atwater Pond is a lake close at hand, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Elbow Trail.
