If you are traveling by, why not stop by Willow Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Willow Lake you'll probably meet some people from New Iberia, and a lake close by is Haha Bay. At Willow Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 70's. | | State Park is a good local campground, and swamps don’t sound that great but Cypress Brake in the neighborhood of Willow Lake is rather great.
The high level of rain makes Willow Lake a relatively wet spot; July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is October. What a place this is for outdoors people. If you need a spot to stay La Quinta Inn and Suites New Iberia is a good choice. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Inn | |

Bayou Alexandre is a brilliant site to pop by, obviously you could also stop at Catahoula Lake if you're here; it's not far at all.
