Summer brings highs in the 90's to Walker Lake, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 50's, and overnight lows through the winter for Walker Lake tend to be in the 30's. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Walker Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Suites Alexandria. This lake is so wonderful. You'll       meet a lot of people from Alexandria here, and Cotile Recreation Area is a good campground nearby. La Quinta Alexandria Inn And Suites is a great place to get some rest, and there's some attention-grabbing stuff to make out at Boudreux Lake Dam right next door to Walker Lake. There is a wonderful hiking trail in the vicinity of Walker Lake called the Lake Nature Trail; a swamp like Lake Morgantine near Walker Lake has lots of interesting things to see.                  Near Walker Lake you hit upon the Wild Azalea Trail Kincaid Spur which is a great hiking trail, and Walker Lake is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Saddle Bayou Primitive Campground is a fine place to camp nearby.
