Lake Tripod is a place with many visitors from Abbeville, and hey, Green Island Bayou is a pleasant local stream. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Tripod a wet location; July is when you get the most rain here, and April on the other hand is the driest. Camping is available at Betty's RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Herberts Cajun Haven RV Park is always a perfect experience, and       after a long day outdoors RLAIC - Red Carpet Inn Abbeville is a good site to spend a night or two. At Lake Tripod through the summertime months highs are in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's while the cold winter nights at Lake Tripod are in the 40's.
