High temperatures at Sweetwater Pond during the days of summer are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 70's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 60's while the cold winter nights at Sweetwater Pond are in the 30's. If you came for an overnight stay Lapeyrouse Seafood Bar and Groc is a great location to camp; there are swamps here too, Bayou Bluff is nearby. This lake is so wonderful.       If you need a site to stay Howard Johnson Houma is a fine choice, and Carriage Cove Mobile Home Park is a fine campground here. Sweetwater Pond is not far at all from Houma-Bayou Cane-Thibodaux; after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Houma is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. All the water falling down from the sky makes Sweetwater Pond a wet spot; all through July this area sees the most rain; October is when it's the driest.
